Gulf Coast Civic Works Project wins SJSU Student Organization of the Year
Hello All,
For those of you who have not heard the Gulf Coast Civic Works Project won Student Organization of the Year at last nights banquet!!!!! WOW. Myself, Roberto, and Harold accepted the award on behalf of you all, but I want to personally thank each and every one of you to make the achievement a reality. All of you have done amazing work for our group, have grown as students, community leaders, student leaders, and have become amazing friends to me. You all, Scott, and the GCCWP in general have been invaluable experience to me and can not thank you all enough.
With this said, lets use this new campus power/respect as a recruitment tool to get more people on our side at SJSU to complete the goals that we have established regarding our local congress people, national campaigns, and student/campus networking!! Our project, our goals, and group stood out among 292 student organizations as THE BEST!!! There are amazing students doing amazing things at our campus and we were singled out anyway. I want you to all let that sink in a think of new ways we can use this power to continue forward progress for Gulf Coast and beyond.
Again, congratulations. We should all be loud and proud!! Also, I think we should consider what we want to do with our plaque! Hang in CCCAC?? I like this idea.....
